On dwelling
A place shapes the people inside it. The ceiling height, the light through a window, the grain of the wood underfoot — these are not details. They are the experience. We gather places that were built with attention. Not luxury. Attention. A farmstay where someone thought about which direction the bedroom faces. A kitchen where the counter height was chosen, not inherited.

Field Observation #003
Ficus benghalensis. Banyan. The tree that shelters without walls. There is one at the edge of the property in Shoolagiri. It was here before the building. The building was placed around it. That is what we mean by dwelling with attention.
A house becomes a home when it remembers who walked through it.
